Could the term Type-3 Diabetes be used to refer to Alzheimer's Disease?

Yes. The reason?

Individuals who have diabetes are at an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

Diabetes is changing the mechanisms in which our brain functions, and this could lead to Alzheimer’s, or other conditions connected with memory loss.

How to prevent memory loss?

✅ Cut down on sugar, and try to eat more fat instead

✅ Get quality sleep, around 8 hours a night

✅ Manage your stress

✅ Exercise regularly

👉 Diabetes increases the risk of dementia and the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

👉 Reduced blood flow to the brain will make it harder for the essential nutrients to go to the brain, and this will, in turn, cause some serious damage.

👉 Alzheimer's patients often show the symptoms of strong sugar cravings, due to certain abnormalities in the brain serotonin system. That is one of the reasons why Alzheimer’s disease is often called type 3 diabetes.

👉 The good news is that a healthy lifestyle will lower the risks of developing both diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease, and it will surely improve your memory and brain function. ✅
