Today, I presented at CECOG's Second Pancreas Cancer Academy in Prague, Czech Republic.
The Central European Coperative Oncology Group, CECOG, Academy concentrates on education and the definition of quality standards in regard to the care of patients with malignant diseases. Events such as this one gather oncologists from all over the world, and I was delighted to be invited to speak at this important event and present on the benefits of nutrition and exercise for cancer patients to such an important audience.
My presentation concentrated on how a supportive exercise and nutrition programme can help with:
- Better quality of life
- Less side effects from the treatments
- Less depression
- More energy
- Better treatment efficiency
Both help to complement treatment efficiency, support the immune system and enable patients to feel better and stay strong.
The materials I shared at this event are available for download below:
I'd like to thank CECOG for inviting me to speak and take part in this valuable event.
I would be thrilled to help other cancer care organisations in implementing an exercise and nutrition education and awareness programme into their patient care platforms across Europe.
